The information on this page has been provided by the people who have, or will be, taking part in organising fund raising events to raise money towards the Heating Fund for the Orphanage. Thanks to everyone concerned - your efforts are really apprceciated

| Ongoing | Katherine Mills, rep for Balkan in Borovets | Katherine holds regular raffles in aid of the Orphanage on Monday nights at the Iglika Hotel Reception. You can also take part on the Balkan / Inghams bar crawl or be in Franko's pizza restaurant upstairs between 9.30 - 10.30 every Monday night. and my beard shaved off on Monday 18th February 2008, in the Church
Hall of the village I live in. I was going to go to my hairdresser, but whislt attending a community council meeting last night ( I am the Clerk), one of the Councillors suggested that the Young Carers group, which she runs, organise a Coffee evening, during which I could have my head shaved. When I first suggested doing this, I had hoped to raise £300. I have at present £580, and would be thrilled to bits if I could go over £600. I have had a beard or moustache for over thirty years, in fact my wife has never seen me without a moustache. |

| 14 March 2008 | *Pamporovo Pete (Bulgariaski) | Pamporovo Pete has been collecting money for many months and has volunteered to do a ski-a-thong in Borovets on 14 March to raise money for the heating fund. Andy (dressed in a basque and fishnet stockings) and Tufty Duck will also be taking part in the sk-a-thong with Pete . Pete's final total, combined total of donations which included amounts raised by Tiger Tim, Guto, TD & Bibbleb0obs, Jeremy Armstrong & Brookland Primary School, Curryoke Night, Quiz Night the ski-a-thong and an Auction Night was a staggering * £11,421 |

| 14 March 2008 | *Tiger Tim (Bulgariaski) | Tim is raising money at the ski-a-thong in Borovets and so far has raised £350 for the fund with a target of 1000 euro. Would like to thank all the driving instuctors in Swansea for the whip round which raised £50, Ranult Swansea staff who gave a total of £60 and also Morriston RFC we had a whip round and rasied £125. My daughters school is having a school disco on the 28 March with all profits going to the fund |

Tufty Duck & Bibbilyb0bs printed and sold T-Shirts for the ski-a-thong day. £250 is being paid into the escrow account from my work - Wilfrid Smith Limited. We are hoping that the total by the 1st March is over £1000. We are also hoping to raise more money in Borovets with the writing pens. |

| 29 March 2008 | John Dixon | John Dixonhosted a fundraising Auction on the 29th March 2008 at the Stocks Tavern in Parbold, Lancs, with the people of Parbold giving generously to the heating appeal raising just £1110.00. Local businesses gave donations to be auctioned off on the night and people gave prizes which were raffled, 3 professional entertainers gave their services for free. It was a full house with standing room only. A big screen displayed the Orphanage pictures and advertised the local businesses who had donated whilst the children in need style auction took place. | Actual amount £1,110 |

Classic Bike Ride: As
background, Adam and his brother-in-law Steve
committed themselves to the Dartmoor Classic Bike Ride on
Sunday 11th May to raise money for the heating fund. (fully
clothed) with 100km and 2171m of hill climbing. They had already
reached their Target Amount of £850 and hoped
to raise more between now and next Sunday. If you wish to sponsor

| Aug 2008 | Peter Doolan | My main hobby is my Motor Cycle and to help raise awareness and funds, I am going ride my Motorbike & riding along side me my good friend Andy, from my home in Sheffield to the Stoikite Orphanage in Pamporovo. The ride will take place in August 2008 and I envisage the trip will take approx four days each way riding 500miles per day in total approx 4000 miles (6438 km) passing through 8 countries. The route being England-France-Belgium-Germany-Austria-Slovenia-Croatia-Yugoslavia & into Bulgaria. Part of our challenge is to sleep in tents and take as many provisions as we can carry on our motorbikes and to buy only essentials i.e. petrol, bread & water. The reason I am writing to you is to ask if you are willing to support me in this worthwhile cause. |
