Don’t give up through the pace seems slow You may succeed with another blow Success is failure turned inside out The silver lining of the cloud of doubt And you never can tell how close you are It may be near when it seems so far So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit It’s when things seem worst You must not quit.

Background to the Appeal

The Stoikite Orphanage is in a village in the Rhodope Mountains in Bulgaria, near to the Pamporovo Ski Resort. The youngest child is 9 and the oldest 18 with a mix of boys and girls. Recent temperatures were at minus 15 degrees outside the orphanage, and inside was as low as minus five in some of the rooms, with ice on the inside of the windows. The heating system has broken down and is now beyond repair.

We are trying to raise funds for a new heating system in the orphanage. Up until recently the only help these children had was from an English lady and her partner who lives nearby the orphanage.
